Field Trip to GestureTek Inc. Toronto

Today IMM Sheridan 2007 gets to visit Toronto for its first field trip at GestureTek Inc., the pioneer of Video Gesture Control since the mid 80’s.We discovered many technological breakthroughs unheard or heard only in sci-fi movies or imagination come to life in front of our eyes.
It makes gaming a true indulged experience where your complete body is immersed in the game and you can interact and play using your body as a joystick which is so like a Mirage. It gave us a great level of motivation, inspiration and no doubt, absolute Adrenalin Rush.
Vincent John Vincent, The President of GesturesTek Inc. is the driving force of company and is a major player in most of the games and technology used by GesturesTek. He gave us a lot of information on the technology and the yet-to-come.
GestPoint was a real eye-opener to us with Dan mentioning that since the 1st day at college, it was awesome to see it at work with the best of technology. The shock of the day was that it was operational before the movie Minority Report was made, which shows the GestPoint in use.
GroundFX was the most fun part in the trip which makes you addicted to the interactive floor which is a nice prospective for use of advertisements in malls and shopping complexes. I can’t wait to see these things in play in our day to day life which seems very near after our visit.
We all had a great time enjoying our trip and hope we get more trips like this in future to add to our enthusiasm in IMM!!!
